I'm a retired teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching in Ontario at the elementary level. I am qualified to teach FSL and am willing to tutor in it up to high school level. I am willing to tutor most other subjects up to intermediate level in English. I can work with students in French Immersion programs. I have extensive experience and additional specialist training in Special Education and in working with students with special needs.

I have 15+ years of tutoring experience, including both private as well as Uvic Teaching Assistant and Camosun College Instructional Assistant. Msc+ degree in Applied Math, BSc Physics. While creating an engaging, warm and welcoming environment, I provide individualized programming and instruction to meet the learner’s needs. We are the longest operating, locally run non-profit tutoring service in Vancouver. Our purpose is to help clients find the best tutor to suit their specific needs. Every client request is handled personally by the staff in our office. The majority of our tutors have experience working for Vancouver Schools and are BC certified. When you hire a tutor with TTS there are no contracts, no minimum requirements, and no deposits are required.

In the summer months I am available weekday mornings or afternoons. I am a B.C. registered teacher with 20 years of experience. I have taught Core French as well as Immersion, Spanish, ELL and English at both elementary and secondary school levels. Currently I am a full time high school Spanish and French teacher. I prefer to tutor online using zoom or any other platform. Parents are more than welcome to sit in on sessions and practice with us.

I appreciate that each student is unique, each having their own set of interests, weaknesses, and strengths. I enjoy working with students one-on-one to help make content relevant to their interests, showcase their strengths, and develop confidence in new areas. I have a bachelor's degree in music education and graduate degrees in philosophy.
